Ms Brann-Velvick was an excellant teacher if she liked her students. Unfortunately, for those she did not take a shine to, she could be very mean spirited, both verbally and emotionally. Surprisingly, for the most part, it was not the rudest, loudest, most disrespectful, and disruptive students that she would single out to embarass and humiliate. It would usually be the quiet, withdrawn students who either couldn't or wouldn't complain and respond to her nastiness.
