Helena ,,,,Lea,,,,was my mother.....she taught in Manitoba long before she had five children. she resumed teaching when the youngest of us was in school full time. She was president of the substitute teachers association in Lambton County Roman Catholic schools. She had her North American Indian grade one pupils at her wedding to my father....also a teacher...in Winnipeg on Feb 11th...students were very important to her. Like to see any teacher do what she did....teachers on the whole drop the ball today....
