I have had the opportunity to work with Mrs. Cano for two years as she has been both my host teacher during teachers college as well as a co-worker during my first year of teaching. Lulieta has the unique ability to bring laughter and warmth to her classroom instantly making her students feel safe and welcome. Throughout my time in her classroom, I was able to watch her create and teach various lessons that left the students engaged and full of new knowledge. Not only has Mrs. Cano been a great mentor to me during my journey to becomming an educator but she is a fantastic kindergarten teacher. Any student starting their academic journey would be lucky to have Mrs. Cano be their introduction to school.
