A Student
If I had to describe Stilli in one word? Abusive. Absolutely abusive. Throughout my school career, there has never been a class that makes me legitimately scared to enter; until I entered Stilli's. One of Stilli's main problems is the fact that she is so condescending and rude towards her students. Very often, students are afraid to answer her class questions, because if they get the answer wrong, they are likely to be humiliated or berated by her. She lacks the approachability and friendlyness that teachers are expected to have; traits that are needed for a good student-teacher relationship. Many students in past years have switched teachers - or even dropped out of the course - because Stilli had treated them so poorly. She is well known across the school as a poor teacher, and the thought that grade 12 students could have their futures decided through the hands of someone like this is frustrating to say the least. Students should not be afraid of school. Students should not be afraid of going to class, or talking to their teacher regarding their problems, or asking questions. Teachers should not evoke feelings of anxiety or fear in their students.

A Student
Many words come to mind when describing Elena Stilli. Rude, condescending, disrespectful, hostile, and moody to list a few. Stilli always seems to have an intolerable attitude towards students and a friendly attitude towards colleagues. In short, she has a biased attitude towards students, treating them as less than. I have had teachers similar to Stilli before, but they all seem to have a little respect for students and are willing to get off their high horse and listen. On several occasions she has disrespected students by dismissing their pronouns constantly, raising her voice at them as soon as she is annoyed, or humiliating them when they get an answer wrong. Stilli is standing in the way of her personal growth and academic growth, even personal growth, of her students. Overall, she doesn't include many of the most important characteristics of being an educator or a decent human being and finds pleasure in mistreating students.
