To summarize, Wm. Gaskell was a supercilious bully during his tenure at Masonville Elementary School, who adhered to an arcane style of didactic interaction with students. Most notably known for his duplicate, condescending and unhelpful rhetorical question - "Are you deaf, dumb or just plain stupid?". Had an uncanny propensity for advocating students to read backissues of "The Hockey News" and also routinely wearing athletic attire even during no physically active related periods of instruction. Overall, a fantastic caricature of a miniaturized alpha-male Phys Ed teacher.

Unnecessarily harsh approach to classroom administration, routinely called out students for non-disruptive / benign behaviour. Tended to favor perhaps 3 or 4 male pupils who were actually interested in Phys Ed. - none of whom amounted to much. Mr. Gaskell will be best known for driving a 60's era maroon Ford Mustang in overall poor repair, and for asking the redundant yet unnecessarily condescending phrase "Are you deaf, dumb or just plain stupid". Overall impact to my development was simply as follows, to serve as a role model on how NOT to formulate interactions with others.
