Where to begin with Ms. Fletcher. I have had the pleasure (or, I should say, my CHILD has had the pleasure) of studying under the expert tutelage of Ms. Fletcher on a number of occasions. I say "a number of occasions" because, you see, Ms. Fletcher is one of the many unfortunate (but highly gifted) teachers relegated to the always-dreaded 'supply list.' The teaching profession is in a sad state when individuals like Ms. Fletcher are required to scrape out a living, moving from one school to the next, while permanent teachers (like my child's) are free to damage the minds of children unobstructed. I WILL say this: after just one class with Ms. Fletcher, my child comes home recharged, thirsting for knowledge and further academic endeavour. We (the other parents and I) all agree. There is something about her. Something about the way she expresses herself, the way she allows the children to express THEMselves, and the way she fosters the young minds in her charge that makes her absolutely essential to any school board. If your child ever has the privilege of being rewarded with Ms. Fletcher as a supply teacher for a day, their academic lives will be forever changed.
