I had Mr. Zelnicker for a history/politics class at Wagar High School some 41 years ago. I was a tough student for most teachers to handle. He was outstanding and inspired me greatly. I went on to CEGEP, McGill and Law School. I remember asking him a question about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour in which I referred to the attackers as the Jay Ay Pee Ess's (naively using a politically incorrect term) to which he replied that while "there were no "Jay Ay Pee Esses" in 1941, there were "Japanese" back then. He was a serious and committed educator with a great sense of Humour.
