Class of 2008
Mr. Balenzano actually taught my class how to write an essay with a legitimate argument, which proved invaluable when I arrived to university. He regularly encouraged unique and abstract thinking, and in the multiple courses I took with him, my peers and I were exposed to material no other teacher would have included in the syllabus. Although many kids do "get" how lucky they are to have Mr. Balenzano as a teacher, if he were to ever become a university lecturer, he would quickly become a student favourite.

Outstanding. Engaging. Teaches more like a professor than a high school teacher, which is the reason so many of us (being his students) found first year university bearable.
