M. Paulini teached me english in the years 1968,1970 and 1971. I rate him as one of the best teacher I ever had, altough I failed to pass his exams the first year; the reason was that I was of french origin and had little knowledge of english (took me a while to adapt). He was passionate about english litterature and knew how to transmit his passion to his students. Under him, we read and studied authors of diverse origins, and surprisingly even french canadian authors like Gabrielle Roy. He still attended Sir George Williams University while teaching (now called Concordia - merge between Loyola and Sir George Williams). Because of him, I am an avid reader of both the classic authors and the modern ones. He made me aware of the cultural universe of our world, past and present. I wished I could thank him while I attended his courses. I am doing so today. To sir with love...
