Always calm and fair. Extremely knowledgeable of all subject matter. Accommodating for students on IEPs (like me) and students in the other grade (we were a split grade). All consequences were made clear ahead of time and lots of power was given to the students to talk things out and think of our own consequences or solutions to the problem (which were often better than what adults thought and imposed on us). He seemed to always know just when to intervene and when to look at our interactions from a distance. Everyone felt safe in the classroom. I wish Mr. Manolakas was my teacher for many years later.
