In my talking GLS 381, Modern China, with Shiling McQuaide, I larned what how truly unqualified, and appallingly bigoted, some professors can be. Shiling abused me non-stop - she not only called me names (yes, names, like a child), accused me of a secret agenda to 'trick' her, tried to hysterically tell the University I was abusing her by leaving her a voicemail asking for the exam explanation she said she would provide (the University reprimanded her) - she also attacked me furiously when I wrote my terms papers on China's horrific abuse of the Uyghur people, and on China's poicy of rape and murder of Japanese civilians in China in World War II. She also shared my work with other professors, something she was also disciplined for, and never did provide the through explanation of he grading she said she would. Lastly, her English is completely inadequate. When she grades, she cuts out huge swathes of your writing because the English is too hard for her, replacing it with her own mangled English. Avoid this academic bigot.
